Orange Sky - Dignity Through Cleanliness and Conversation
In collaboration with Horizon Impact Collective, Orange Sky has expanded its reach to provide essential hygiene services to those in need. Together, we are committed to offering more than just laundry and showers — we’re fostering human connections through conversation, helping people experiencing homelessness regain their dignity and a sense of community.
Over 1.6 million kilograms of laundry have been provided free to those in need across Australia and New Zealand, helping them maintain hygiene and dignity.
33+ mobile laundry and shower vans are deployed across over 200 locations, reaching both urban and remote communities with essential services.
Orange Sky has facilitated 300,000+ hours of conversation, providing emotional support and helping to combat loneliness among individuals experiencing homelessness.
Rather than reducing service users, Orange Sky’s focus is on long-term positive impact, with users reporting improved self-esteem and mental health through regular access to clean clothes and meaningful social interaction.
At Horizon Impact Collective, we proudly foster a culture of community service and engagement by actively connecting our volunteers with impactful organizations like Orange Sky. Through our collective, we encourage and empower individuals to take part in initiatives that provide tangible benefits to those in need, such as assisting with mobile laundry and shower services.
By organizing volunteer efforts from within our community, we help Orange Sky extend their reach and amplify their efforts to support vulnerable populations. Our volunteers not only help with the logistics but also contribute to the meaningful conversations and emotional support that are at the heart of Orange Sky’s mission. Though we operate independently, our focus on fostering partnerships and providing hands-on support aligns perfectly with our commitment to making a lasting impact.
